As previously reported, the Commodities Futures Trading Commission has issued a concept
release seeking comment on whether it should modify its approach to the over-the-counter derivatives
market in light of recent developments in the marketplace.1 The CFTC recently extended the deadline
for comments on the concept release from July 13, 1998 to September 11, 1998.2 A copy of the CFTC’s
notice extending the comment period is attached.
