RE: JULY 21 MEETING

A meeting of the Municipal Securities Task Force has been scheduled for July 21, 1998
at 10:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Institute’s offices, in the David Silver Conference
Room. Lunch will be served following the meeting.
The meeting will focus primarily on disclosure issues. In particular, we will discuss the
accessibility and adequacy of disclosure relating to municipal securities, including variable rate
demand obligations, and possible regulatory initiatives to address any concerns with the
disclosure. If there are other items that you wish to discuss at the meeting, please include them
on your response form.
