Independent Directors Council Re-elects Chair Jonathan F. Zeschin; Dawn Vroegop Named Vice Chair
Three New Members Join IDC’s Governing Council
Washington, DC, October 4, 2017—The Governing Council of the Independent Directors Council (IDC) has re-elected Jonathan F. Zeschin as IDC’s Chair for a second term and elected Dawn Vroegop as its Vice Chair.
Zeschin, who has served in that role for the past year, is an independent director of Matthews Asia Funds. Vroegop is an independent director of Brighthouse Funds and Driehaus Funds.
“I welcome the chance to serve as Vice Chair of IDC,” said Vroegop. “The importance of IDC’s role in providing educational opportunities, industry information, and forums for communication for independent directors has grown with the increasing complexity of the fund industry. I look forward to collaborating with Jon Zeschin, the Governing Council, and IDC’s professional staff in the year ahead.”
Zeschin said, “I am honored to be elected to a second term as IDC chair, and look forward to working with Vice Chair Dawn Vroegop to further enhance IDC’s educational programs and resources to help directors fulfill their oversight role on behalf of shareholders. Dawn’s energy and strong history of service as an independent director will be an asset to IDC.”

- Susan C. Coté, Independent Director, SEI Funds
- Bruce Duncan, Independent Director, T. Rowe Price Funds
- Terence J. Toth, Independent Director, Nuveen Funds
