ICI Calls for Immediate Congressional Action to Address COVID-19 Relief

Washington, DC; March 23, 2020—Paul Schott Stevens, president and CEO of the Investment Company Institute, issued the following statement on the need for action on COVID-19 relief:

“Financial markets and ordinary Americans—including the 100 million shareholders in US mutual funds—are anxiously awaiting decisive action from Congress to address the pressing health and economic crises caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Savers are paying a high cost for each added day of uncertainty. Congress must act immediately in a bipartisan fashion to deliver focused, vital relief.”
