The next regular meeting of the Board of Governors is scheduled for 9:30 am on
Wednesday, May 6, 1998 at the Institute. The meeting will be preceded by an IMPAC
fundraising event at 8:00 am and followed by a luncheon and "Washington Briefing" which
includes a meeting with Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan at 3:00 pm. An
additional speaker is planned. To assist you with scheduling, a preliminary schedule of events
is attached. Please make a special note of the Reception and Dinner on May 5th at 7:00 pm.

Standard rooms are available for $220.00 per night. To ensure that you receive the
preferred room rate, please make your reservations before April 14th and mention that you are
attending an ICI meeting. Please note that typically there is a heavy demand for hotel rooms in
Washington during this period. Therefore, please secure room reservations as soon as possible.

the May events.
