Attached is a copy of a letter to Taiwan’s SEC detailing the market access problems
Institute members have encountered in Taiwan. The letter generally reiterates the points made in
the Institute’s recent letter to Treasury Department Assistant Secretary Timothy G. Geithner.
See Memorandum to International Committee 1-98, January 9, 1998. Counsel in Taiwan is
translating the letter and will be submitting it to Taiwan’s SEC shortly.
