RE: IRS ANNOUNCEMENT ON YEAR 2000 CHANGES

The Internal Revenue Service has announced (in Announcement 98-5, attached) that
information returns filed magnetically/electronically to the Martinsburg Computing Center for Tax Year
1998 must contain four-digit “year” fields. The announcement also describes various conforming
changes to the information reporting records.
