RE: MEETING THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 1997

The next meeting of the ICI Broker Dealer Advisory Committee will be held on
Thursday, February 12, 1998, at the ICIs offices in Washington, DC. The meeting will
commence at 10:00am, is expected to conclude by 4:00pm, and a lunch will be provided.
Additionally, a block of rooms has been secured at the Grand Hyatt at Metro Center (1000 H
Street), for those Committee members needing to stay over the night of Wednesday, February
11, 1998. To reserve one of these rooms, you will need to contact the Hyatt at 202/582-1234,
and identify yourself as an Investment Company Institute meeting attendee. The room rate is
$153 per night, and the cut off date for making reservations is January 21, 1998, so please do not
delay in making your reservations.
We expect to hold a group dinner on the night of Wednesday, February 11, 1998.
Details of this dinner will be provided to you with the meeting agenda. In the interim, please
indicate on the attached form whether you expect to attend the meeting, whether you expect to
attend the dinner, and whether you have any items for the agenda. This form should be
returned via fax to Beatrice Williar (202/326-5853) by no later than January 21, 1988.
