The attached list briefly describes these resources (for more detailed information, please request the Institutes Catalog of Training Materials for Financial Industry Professionals by calling 202/326-5866). As part of our planning for the Institutes 1998 fiscal year, we are conducting our annual assessment of industry training needs. The purpose of this assessment is to determine whether there is a need for additional programs that would assist members in meeting the requirements of the Securities Industry Continuing Education Program. As part of this process, we would appreciate your suggestions for any new materials you feel would be useful to your continuing education and training efforts. Please have the appropriate person(s) at your firm complete the attached response form at return it to me at the Institute by October 17, 1997. You will see on the response form that, in addition to your own suggestions, we are also asking for your level of interest in several projects that already have been suggested by members of the Institutes Continuing Education and Training Advisory Committee. In addition, we would like to know whether your firm has access to the Internet for training purposes, as we are exploring the possibility of making several of our courses available via the World Wide Web. If you have any questions or comments, please call me at 202/326-5869, or contact me via electronic mail at brown@ici.org.
