As you may remember, the Institute held a series of Blue
Sky Compliance Workshops in Fall, 1987. In response to the
tremendous number of requests, the Institute has decided to
repeat the workshops in Spring, 1989 which will be held in New
York, Boston and San Francisco.
The program will cover all facets of registering a mutual
fund in the individual states. The workshops are designed for
employees who do blue sky work, as well as other employees who
handle state-related issues. The workshop leaders will be Mary
Anne Miller, Fidelity Services Company; Rosemary Milner, Delaware
Management Company, Inc.; Elizabeth Nystedt, The Boston Company
Advisors, Inc. and, Thomas Joseph, Scudder Fund Distributors,
Inc.

The workshops are scheduled to run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m. with ample time for questions from attendees after each

presentation and time for a small group discussion at the end of
the day. A preliminary agenda is attached.
Registration for these workshops is restricted to employees
of ICI member mutual funds and their outside counsel. Please
register promptly as space may be limited. To register, simply
complete the form provided and return it, along with a check for
$125 for the first registrant and $100 for each additional
registrant within the same company, to the Institute. A
registration form is attached.
Please make your own hotel reservations, if you need a
hotel room. A block of rooms has been reserved in each hotel
under the name of Investment Company Institute, so mention our
