INSTRUCTIONS

The Internal Revenue Service (the "IRS") has announced that
no changes have been made to the Form 1042S magnetic tape record
layouts for the tax year 1988 and, consequently, Publication
1187, Magnetic Media Filers of Form 1042S, has not been revised
for 1988. The attached Announcement does list certain editorial
clarifications that have been made to the instructions to
Publication 1187, which was also published as Revenue Procedure
87-63.
