RE: January Board Meeting Dates

Arrival at the January Board of Governors meeting generally has begun on the last Sunday in
January. This scheduling has meant that the Board of Governors meetings have occurred between
January 26 and February 3. The 1998 and 1999 meetings have already been scheduled to begin on the
last Sunday in January. However, before selecting dates in 2000, we would like your opinion as to
whether this timing best meets your schedule.
We are considering two alternatives. The first would be to maintain the current schedule. The
second would be to hold the meeting one week later. This alternative means that arrival would begin on
the first Sunday in February and the actual meeting would occur sometime between February 2 through
February 10.
