The next regular meeting of the Board of Governors is scheduled for 9:30 am on Wednesday,
May 7, 1997 at the Institute. For the past five years, the Institute has sponsored a full afternoon
"Washington Briefing" in conjunction with the May Board of Governors’ meeting. At the March
meeting of the Executive Committee, the Committee decided to convert the briefing to a
biennial event. In the "off" years, such as this one, there will be a luncheon presentation with a
Washington focus following the Board Meeting at the Institute. We anticipate that such a
presentation will conclude by 2:30 pm. We will keep you informed as the agenda develops.

"Briefing."
A block of rooms has been reserved at The Willard (tel: 202-628-9100). Please make your
reservation directly with the hotel by the cut-off date of April 6.
