RE: SURVEY OF TRAINING/CONTINUING EDUCATION RESOURCE NEEDS

As you may know, the Institute offers a variety of generic training and continuing education
resources that members may use as part of their own programs. The attached list briefly
describes these resources (for more complete information, please request the Institutes Catalog
of Training Materials for Financial Industry Professionals by calling 202/326-5866).
Knowing that the Institute is eager to support members training and continuing education
programs, a number of members have provided ideas for new educational materials they
would like the Institute to develop. To help us determine the level of interest member fund
groups might have in these new programs, please have the appropriate person(s) at your firm
complete the attached questionnaire and return it to the Institute by November 15, 1996. If you
have ideas for other training and continuing education materials that would be useful, please
describe them in the space provided on the response form.
