The Investment Company Institute is holding its Third Annual Investment Company
Directors Conference, October 30 - November 1, 1996 at the Capital Hilton Hotel in
Washington, DC. Enclosed is the final brochure describing the program for this event.
The Conference will feature a varied program of industry experts, government officials
and experienced fund directors sharing their perspectives on issues of interest and concern to
the fund director community, and will afford ample opportunity for small group discussions.
The luncheon speaker on Thursday, October 31 will be Mark Shields, a nationally known
political correspondent, and entertainment at dinner that evening will feature the Capitol Steps,
a nationally acclaimed political satire troupe.
Attendance at the Conference is limited to directors, trustees, partners, officers, and
employees of Institute members, and will be limited to a total of 250 persons. Until
September 27, registration for the Conference will be open only to currently serving
directors of Institute member investment companies. Registration forms received from
other Institute member representatives prior to September 27 will be held until that date and
then processed on a first-come, first-served basis as space permits. The Institute requests
that registrations be received by October 21. All registrations will be confirmed by mail .
Registration for the Conference includes a luncheon and dinner on Thursday, October
31, and a luncheon on Friday, November 1. Written materials are being prepared for
conference attendees. Please call the Capital Hilton Hotel at 202/393-1000 to make your hotel
reservations before October 7, the cutoff date for the preferred room rate.
