RE: Forthcoming New York Times Story on the Institute

Ed Wyatt of The New York Times is preparing a story on the Institute, perhaps
for publication in the Sunday Business Section next Sunday, September 8. It appears
that the story will focus on the Institute’s legislative activities, including the
pending securities-mutual fund legislation and retirement security initiatives.
