RE: CONTINUING EDUCATION AND TRAINING ADVISORY GROUP MEETING

As you may know, the Institute recently formed a new Continuing Education and Training
Advisory Group. Institute members interest in the new group has been strong, and the group
now has more than 130 members. Because it is an advisory group to the Operations Committee,
the next meeting of the Continuing Education and Training Advisory Group will be held in
conjunction with the Institutes annual Operations Conference. The advisory group will meet
October 18-19 at the Disney Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, Florida. For your information, attached
is some information on the meeting that was recently sent to advisory group members.
As youll see from the attached memorandum, the Continuing Education and Training
Advisory Group meeting activities include a half-day seminar on technology, which has been
scheduled for Saturday, October 19, at the Disney Dolphin Hotel. The seminar will feature
technology guru Elliott Masie, President of The MASIE Center, who will conduct an
educational session on the "Use of Technology in Training." As there may be members of the
Operations Committee who are interested in this subject, and may be in Orlando to attend the
Operations Conference (which begins Sunday, October 20), we would like to invite members of
the Operations Committee to attend the seminar.
The registration fee to attend the seminar is $100 per person, and attendance will be limited to
members of the Continuing Education and Training Advisory Group and Operations
Committee. If you would like to attend this session, please complete and return the response
form included with the attached memorandum.
