July 12, 1996 TO: STATE LIAISON COMMITTEE No. 20-96 INVESTMENT ADVISERS COMMITTEE No. 17-96 SEC RULES COMMITTEE No. 74-96 UNIT INVESTMENT TRUST COMMITTEE No. 28-96 RE: MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR ICI FUNCTIONS DURING THE NASAA FALL CONFERENCE IN SNOWBIRD, UTAH ______________________________________________________________________________ You are very likely aware that the North American Securities Administrators Association ("NASAA") is sponsoring their annual fall conference September 8-10, 1996, at the Snowbird Conference Center in Utah. While we understand from NASAA that registration forms and information about the conference will not be mailed out until later this month, NASAA and the ABA have tentatively announced that they will be holding committee meetings on both Saturday and Sunday prior to NASAA’s opening session at 2 p.m. on Sunday. The Institute would like to host a welcome reception for you and your colleagues on the evening of Saturday, September 7. We also will schedule a business meeting for our members to discuss issues of mutual concern on Sunday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m., immediately prior to the official opening of the conference. We hope that you can make plans to participate in these functions. Details will be forthcoming.
