IMPORTANT UPDATE: MAY 2 WASHINGTON BRIEFING

April 29, 1996 TO: BOARD OF GOVERNORS No. 16-96 RE: IMPORTANT UPDATE: May 2 Washington Briefing ______________________________________________________________________________ For those of you who will be attending the Institutes fifth annual Washington Briefing, this is to advise you that the Briefing location has been moved to the Roosevelt Room in the West Wing of the White House. The Briefing schedule is entirely confirmed. Senator Alan Simpson will address the Board at lunch on his views on the prospects for Social Security reform. In addition to Treasury Deputy Secretary Lawrence Summers and National Economic Council Chair Laura DAndrea Tyson, Labor Assistant Secretary Olena Berg is confirmed. We will leave the Institute offices as a group and walk to the White House which is 3 blocks away. The briefings will conclude at approximately 3:30 pm. Because of the nature of this event, we ask that you stay for all three presentations, neither arriving late nor leaving early.
