Professor John B. Shoven of Stanford University spoke on Social Security reform last
week at the Institute’s Joint Winter Marketing Meetings. His presentation was extremely well-
received by the membership. I am pleased to report that Professor Shoven has agreed to speak
at the Board meeting on Wednesday, January 31. Therefore, the breakfast breakout discussion
on "What Troubles You in the Fund Environment?" has been cancelled. The following is the
new agenda for Wednesday, January 31:
