The Securities and Exchange Commission has extended the comment period for the
proposed amendments to Rule 17f-5 from October 6, 1995 to November 6, 1995. A copy of the
Commissions release announcing the extension is attached. As we previously informed you,
the Institute recently filed its comment letter on the proposed amendments.1
