This international conference addresses a variety of globalisation issues from the legal and business perspective. The Institute is co-sponsoring the conference with the International Bar Association. This year’s program includes a panel of regulators from key jurisdictions who will provide an insight into the regulatory framework and enforcement activities of that jurisdiction as well as panels on globally offered private placements, listing funds across borders on stock exchanges, the acquisition of money managers across borders, the global pension market, and the use by global managers of asset allocation funds and techniques to help the unsophisticated investor. Other panels will offer an in-depth study of dealing with foreign security pricing errors, portfolio investing in India, and how to structure funds to invest in the Middle East. A conference brochure, including registration information, will be available later this fall. Mary S. Podesta Associate Counsel - International
