BOARD OF GOVERNORS MEETING -- OCTOBER 5-6, 1995

October 2, 1995 TO: BOARD OF GOVERNORS No. 67-95 RE: Board of Governors Meeting -- October 5-6, 1995 ______________________________________________________________________________ The following information relates to functions to be held in conjunction with the Board of Governors meeting to be held at 9:30 am Friday, October 6, 1995 in the David Silver Conference Room at the Institute , 1401 H St., NW, Washington, DC -- 12th Floor. Board of Governors Dinner, Thursday, October 5, 1995: Cocktails will be served on the Crystal Terrace at 7:00 pm at The Carlton Hotel, followed by dinner in the Crystal Ballroom at 7:45 pm on Thursday, October 5, 1995. Ken Bode, moderator of the popular PBS-TV Friday night news program, Washington Week in Review, will be the guest speaker. The Carlton Hotel is located at the southeast corner of 16th and K Streets, NW, five blocks from the Institute. Board of Governors Luncheon, Friday, October 6, 1995: Following completion of the Board meeting on Friday, a luncheon will be held in the David Silver Conference Room at the Institute. Jack Kemp, a former Congressman and recently appointed by the Republican Congressional leadership to chair its National Commission on Economic Growth and Tax Reform, will be the guest speaker. This will be an excellent opportunity for Governors to express their views on tax policy and savings incentives to Mr. Kemp, who will play an important role in shaping the national debate on tax reform.
