The Investment Company InstituteGs 1995 Investment Advisers Conference will be held at the
Stouffer Renaissance Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. on June 8-9. The enclosed brochure
describes the conference program, which promises to be excellent.
As we previously informed you, Barry Barbash, Director of the Division of Investment
Management of the Securities and Exchange Commission, will give the keynote address on Thursday
morning and Wayne Abernathy, Staff Director of the Senate Banking Committee Subcommittee on
Securities will give the luncheon address.1 Other speakers from the SEC have been added to several
panels. Jack Murphy and Robert Plaze will participate on the opening panel on Current Developments
in SEC Regulation; Robert Plaze also will join the panel on Marketing for Advisers. Gene Gohlke and
Douglas Scheidt will be panelists for the Compliance Issues panel on Friday morning.
The time for registration is growing short; however it is not too late. To register for the
conference, please complete the form attached to the brochure and return it with your check to the
Institute. Please make your own hotel reservations as soon as possible by calling the Mayflower directly
