RE: MEETINGS WITH MEMBERS OF CONGRESS JANUARY 11

We are scheduling meetings for January 11, 1995 with Members of Congress to discuss
legislative efforts to expand the availability of Individual Retirement Accounts (See Memorandum to
Board of Governors No. 121-94 dated December 8, 1994).
We believe that now is the critical time to demonstrate support for the IRA because House
Republicans are committed to passing tax legislation in the first one hundred days of the session. Thus,
we cannot (as we might normally) wait until the May Washington meeting of the Board of Governors to
schedule these visits.
Please return the attached form by fax if you can make yourself available for a series of
meetings on that day.
