The next meeting of the Board of Governors will be held on
Thursday, October 6, 1994 in the David Silver Conference Room at
the Institute, 1401 H Street, NW, Washington, DC 20005-2148.
Wednesday, October 5, 1994
7:00 pm Reception: Room S-120 (Hugh Scott
Room) The U.S. Capitol
7:30 pm Dinner: Room S-211 (Lyndon B.
Johnson Room)
Speaker: Sen. Daniel Moynihan,
Chairman, Senate Finance
Committee (invited)
Transportation will be provided from the Institute and the
Willard Inter-Continental Hotel's F Street Lobby beginning at
6:30 pm.

7:45 am Breakfast Discussion Groups: Various meeting rooms at
the Institute, 12th Floor
Note: Breakfast will follow the same format used in Nevis.
Board members will meet in small groups for breakfast. The
moderator for each group will report to the full Board on salient
points raised in their group.
9:15 am Plenary Session: Moderators present their
group's report
10:00 am Board Meeting: David Silver Conference
Room
(An agenda and meeting materials will be sent to you
approximately one week in advance of the meeting.)
12:30 pm Luncheon: David Silver Conference

Breakfast Discussion Topics: Topics which have been suggested
for the breakfast are:
1. What should the Institute be doing for investment
company directors?
2. What do we need to be doing to help preserve the
public's and the media's confidence in mutual funds?
Please indicate on the response form attached your preference
among these topics and feel free to offer other topics of
interest to you.
Hotel Arrangements: For your convenience the Institute has
secured a block of rooms at the Willard Inter-Continental Hotel,
1401 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. 202/628-9100. In order to receive
the discounted rate of $185.00 please indicate that you are
attending the ICI Board of Governors Meeting.
