RE: MARKET ACCESS IN THE ASEANS

Treasury Department representatives will meet in July with
several Asean countries to discuss possible bilateral trade
agreements to liberalize trade in financial services with those
countries. In connection with this trip, the Institute has been
invited to provide information about market access issues with
respect to Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and
Singapore. Treasury needs this information by June 24.
Please let me know by noon Friday, June 24 if there is any
specific information you would like the Institute to provide
about both the potential attractiveness of these markets to U.S.
money managers and the barriers to market access that currently
