RE: NEW COMMITTEE CHAIR/FALL CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT

The Board of Governors of the ICI has recently asked that I
serve as Chair of the Small Funds Committee. While realizing that
Ron Fielding is a hard act to follow, nevertheless, I accepted with
enthusiasm as I believe the Small Funds meetings and conferences
perform a very useful and vital function, allowing executives from
our smaller members to exchange ideas on opportunities and
challenges common to our organizations. I look forward to working
with all of you, and with Skip Eby at the ICI, to continue to
improve our future meetings and activities.
As Skip mentioned to those of you who attended our May 17
meeting, the next Small Funds Fall Conference will be held at the
Four Seasons Ocean Grand Hotel, in Palm Beach, Florida, on November
10-11, 1994. More details will follow, but I urge you to block the
time now for what I'm sure will be a worthwhile (and fun) session.
