January 4, 1994 TO: INVESTMENT ADVISER ASSOCIATE MEMBERS NO. 2-94 MEMBERS - ONE PER COMPLEX NO. 1-94 OPERATIONS COMMITTEE NO. 2-94 SMALL FUNDS COMMITTEE NO. 1-94 RE: REDUCED RATES ON ALL LONG DISTANCE SERVICES __________________________________________________________ Following months of research in the area of telephone expense reduction, the Investment Company Institute is pleased to announce an ICI-sponsored program that allows Institute members to take advantage of a significant new benefit: You can select the long-distance network of your choice--AT&T, MCI, or Sprint--and receive the lowest rates available on your outbound long-distance and inbound toll-free (800) service. The Institute is able to offer this attractive service by utilizing the collective buying power of our members and by working in partnership with UWI Association Programs, a telecommunications consulting group. Among the benefits offered by the ICI/UWI Program are: ! A comprehensive, free analysis of your current long-distance telephone service and expenditures. With this analysis, you'll see the potential realized savings that are available with each of the ICI/UWI Program's options. ! All switched and T1.5 access services are discounted through the ICI/UWI Program. ! Flexibility. There are no minimum phone volume requirements with the ICI/UWI Program and you can leave the program at any time without penalty. In addition, you're able to mix and match your inbound and outbound service providers to achieve the highest possible cost savings and most efficient service. Attached is a flyer that provides more information about the ICI/UWI Program.
