March 24, 1993 TO: PENSION COMMITTEE NO. 11-93 RE: DRAFT SUBMISSION TO DEPARTMENT OF LABOR CONCERNING PROSPECTUS DELIVERY UNDER SECTION 404(c) OF ERISA __________________________________________________________ As you know, the final regulation under section 404(c) of ERISA requires that participants receive certain information concerning the investment alternatives available under the plan, including the investment objectives and risk and return characteristics of each alternative. Attached for discussion at the upcoming Pension Committee meeting is a draft submission to the Department of Labor requesting an information letter confirming that delivery of an investment company prospectus will satisfy this disclosure requirement.
