On April 26 - May 7, 1993 the Securities and Exchange
Commission will host its third annual International Institute for
Securities Market Development. The conference provides a program
of lectures, seminars and workshops on the development and
oversight of securities markets for regulatory officials from a
number of countries with new and emerging securities markets.
In connection with the conference, the SEC is seeking to
arrange internships during the week of May 10 for interested
delegates. At least sixteen delegates from various emerging
markets have expressed an interest in an internship with a mutual
fund group. Anyone interested in hosting an intern for part or
all of the week of May 10 should contact William Atkinson of the
SEC's Office of Economic Analysis at (202) 272-7360.
