RE: MEETING NOTICE - JULY 23, 1992

The Subcommittee on Advertising will have its next meeting
on July 23, 1992 at 10:00 a.m. At the meeting, we will discuss
the recommendations included in the Division of Investment
Management’s report on Investment Company Regulation that affect
mutual fund advertising, focusing on the "off-the-page" proposal.
In this regard, the Institute intends to prepare a submission
with recommendations for an "off-the-page" rule. Attached is a
preliminary draft of required disclosure items for an "off-the-
page" advertisement, which will be discussed at the meeting.
If you expect to attend the meeting, please complete the
form below and return to Michael Branch at the Institute as soon
as possible. If there are other issues you would like to have
discussed at the meeting, please indicate them in the form
provided.
