OCC REGULATORY REVIEW

| Print
February 25, 1992 TO: BOARD OF GOVERNORS NO. 13-92 RE: OCC REGULATORY REVIEW __________________________________________________________ The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has issued a notice requesting comments on regulations that "may hinder economic growth". The notice follows President Bush's announcement of a 90-day regulatory review designed to promote economic growth and reduce regulatory burdens. It is expected that representatives of banking groups will take this opportunity to urge that the OCC proceed with its proposal to deregulate bank common trust funds, including permitting the advertising and mass-merchandising of these funds, which was noticed for public comment in February 1990. The Institute intends to file a comment letter opposing any such action. A copy of the notice is attached. Craig S. Tyle Deputy General Counsel Attachment
