Independent Accountants Advisory Group RE: Accounting/Treasurers Committee Meeting: June 22 in Boston

 

A joint meeting of the Accounting/Treasurers Committee and the Independent Accountants Advisory Group has been scheduled for Thursday, June 22 at the offices of PwC 101 Seaport Blvd Boston, MA 02110.  The meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time. Light breakfast will be available prior to the meeting. The meeting is expected to conclude at approximately 1:00 p.m.  Lunch will be served after the conclusion of the meeting.

We are pleased to announce that we have invited accounting staff from the Division of Investment Management to attend the meeting and brief the committee on current SEC developments and recent financial statement reviews.  We also intend to bring in other industry experts to discuss recent SEC proposals and finalized rules.

Committee Dinner/Reception

For this meeting, a committee reception with drinks and dinner will be held the night before on June 21 at JP Morgan's office at 70 Fargo Street Boston, MA 02110 from 5:30–8:30pm. Members electing to attend the reception must register and pay a standard amount of $140.00 per person (via credit card) as part of the meeting registration process. Please note that cancellations must be made three days in advance of the event to receive a refund of your payment.

Continuing Professional Education Credit

Meeting attendees are eligible for 3 hours of CPE credit (Taxation, Accounting/Auditing, and Specialized Knowledge and Applications). The Investment Company Institute is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.  State boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.  Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be addressed to NASBA, 150 Fourth Avenue North, Suite 700, Nashville, TN 37219-2417, or www.nasba.org.
