TO: Closed-End Investment Company Committee RE: Reminder: Spring Closed-End Investment Company Committee Meeting on Tuesday, April 18 at 1:00 p.m. (ET)

 

The next meeting of the Closed-End Investment Company Committee will take place via Zoom teleconference on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. The meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. (ET) and end at approximately 3:00 p.m. (ET).

At the meeting, we will discuss the creation of a new working group of the Closed-End Investment Company Committee that will focus on issues pertaining to interval funds, tender offer funds, and business development companies. We also will discuss recent activist investor activities impacting exchange-traded closed-end funds. In that regard, we are pleased to have Christopher M. Hayden, Chief Operating Officer-US, Georgeson LLC (a proxy solicitation firm), join us for part of the meeting to discuss recent activist investor activities and related actions. In addition, Eben P. Colby, a Partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP (a law firm), and certain of his colleagues will join us for part of the meeting to discuss recent activist investor litigation and practical considerations for closed-end funds.

We will circulate a final agenda with meeting materials to registered participants on Monday, April 17.
