Independent Accountants Advisory Group RE: Accounting/Treasurers Committee Meeting – March 16 in Philadelphia

 

A joint meeting of the Accounting/Treasurers Committee and the Independent Accountants Advisory Group has been scheduled for Thursday, March 16 at the offices of KPMG LLC 1601 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19103. The meeting will be held on the 36th floor at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time.  Light breakfast will be available prior to the meeting. The meeting is expected to conclude at approximately 1:00 p.m.  Lunch will be served after the conclusion of the meeting.

We are pleased to announce that we have invited accounting staff from the Division of Investment Management to attend the meeting and brief the committee on current SEC developments and recent financial statement reviews.  We also intend to bring in other industry experts to discuss recent SEC proposals and finalized rules.

Building Security

Please note that due to enhanced building security procedures, meeting attendees will need to check in at the lobby security desk. Each guest will need to show ID when they check in with security and will be given a visitor pass to get through the elevator turnstiles.

Continuing Professional Education Credit

Meeting attendees are eligible for 3 hours of CPE credit (Taxation, Accounting/Auditing, and Specialized Knowledge and Applications). The Investment Company Institute is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.  State boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.  Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be addressed to NASBA, 150 Fourth Avenue North, Suite 700, Nashville, TN 37219-2417, or www.nasba.org.
