TO: Advertising Compliance Advisory Committee RE: 2023 Schedule of Quarterly Advertising Compliance Advisory Committee Calls
To provide members of the Advertising Compliance Advisory Committee a forum to discuss advertising issues, we will continue our quarterly conference calls in 2023. The first call will be from 2:00-3:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday, March 1st. The remaining calls will be held at the same time on June 8th, September 7th, and December 6th.
In advance of each call, I will send an email reminding Committee members of the call and asking participants to submit issues to put on the agenda, which Committee members will receive once finalized. Typically these are questions on which members seek feedback from their peers (e.g., how you treat certain types of communications, or whether you have received similar comments from FINRA). If I do not receive any agenda items, I will cancel the call for that quarter. During the call, the member who suggested the agenda item will pose the question to the group for discussion.
The value of these calls derives in large part from members identifying issues for the agenda and call participants being willing to actively discuss those issues. Accordingly, I encourage each of you to submit agenda items and actively participate in the discussion.
