TO: Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee RE: Registration Open- Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee Meeting - July 20-21, 2022
The next meeting of the Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee will take place on Wednesday, July 20 and Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the offices of Macquarie Investment Management located at 610 Market St, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
The meetings will take place on the 7th floor of Macquarie's offices. On Wednesday, July 20th, continental breakfast will be available at 8:30 a.m. ET with the meeting beginning at 9:00 a.m. ET. Lunch will be served midday and the meeting will conclude at 4:30 p.m. ET. On Thursday, July 21st, the meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. ET; breakfast will be available before the meeting. The meeting will conclude at 12:00 noon ET. Lunch (dine-in or carry out) will be provided. Dress code for the meeting is business casual.
Based on a committee member survey earlier this year regarding anticipated in-person attendance at this meeting, we do not anticipate offering a virtual attendance option.
Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. Attendees will show photo ID to check in through security and then be directed to the meeting room. To facilitate your entrance into the building, please remember to register for the meeting.
Pursuant to ICI's current COVID-19 policies found in the Visitor Protocols document included with this memo, it is expected that all attendees will be fully vaccinated and will attest to such both prior to and each day during the meeting. Attendees should carry proof of vaccination with them (i.e., photo of or actual vaccination card). Attendees will also agree to confidentially notify ICI of any COVID-19 infection within 5 days of attending the meeting.
We will follow the prevailing policies of our host regarding masking and other guidelines. ICI will confirm these details by email with attendees on Friday, July 15 and provide additional updates if received after this date. Attendees that prefer to wear a mask, if not otherwise required by the host or local requirements, are welcome and encouraged to do so.
We will continually monitor the situation and will notify committee members and attendees if the health situation warrants a change to in-person participation or other arrangements.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia located at 433 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106 for the evenings of July 19th and 20th. The rate per night is $219.00. The hotel is approximately 0.2 mile walk to the Macquarie offices. To make reservations, please call the hotel at 1-800-KIMPTON and using reference group code "O59" room block or access this online using this link: ICI July 2022 BDAC Room Block. Please make your hotel reservations as soon as possible as rooms are limited. All reservations must be guaranteed by June 29, 2022, to receive the room block rate. Reservations must be cancelled 72 hours prior to the day of arrival to avoid penalty.
In lieu of the traditional committee reception and dinner, and in response to member feedback for an interactive event that encourages conversation and networking, we invite you to join us at Macquarie on the rooftop for carnival games, Philly-themed heavy hors d'oeuvres, and traditional BDAC reception refreshments. The event is scheduled from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, July 20th. Meeting attendees electing to attend the networking event will pay a standard amount of $135.00 per person (via credit card) as part of the meeting registration process. Please note that if you confirm attendance for the BDAC networking event and cancel within 3 business days of the scheduled event, you will be charged the $135.00. Attire for the event is casual dress.
Please register for the Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee meeting and associated networking event online via Cvent at https://cvent.me/xGqZz2. Please note that the only way to register for the BDAC meeting and dinner is through the Cvent link above. As a reminder, either the committee member or a designated alternate may register for the meeting. If you have questions about registration, please contact Magen Rauch at (202) 326-5943 or magen.dargon@ici.org.
We want your input-on agenda topics and "shop talk" discussion items for the meeting. Please use the space provided in Cvent to list your ideas and suggestions or e-mail Jeff Naylor at jeff.naylor@ici.org. Please provide suggested agenda topics no later than Thursday, June 23, and shop talk items no later than Thursday, June 30, 2022. Our experience indicates that shop talk topics circulated in advance of the meeting considerably enhance the discussion.
We look forward to seeing you in Philadelphia, PA!
