TO: ICI Global Regulated Funds Committee RE: Invitation to Join the Meeting of the ICI Global Regulated Funds Committee (Asia) on July 28

The next meeting of the ICI Global Regulated Funds Committee - Asia will take place virtually on Thursday, July 29 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Hong Kong time, which is Wednesday, July 28 from 9:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. US ET. Because the guest speakers may be of interest to members of the ICI Global Regulated Funds Committee based in the United States and Europe, we have extended the meeting invitation to this Committee. We recognize that time zone differences greatly limit who may be able to participate, and we will provide a member update after the meeting.

The preliminary agenda for the meeting is attached. We will begin the meeting with an ESG-focused session at which guest speakers from both the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), which co-lead IOSCO's Technical Expert Group under the Sustainable Finance Task Force, will update on IOSCO's ESG workstreams. Each will also update on ESG developments in their respective jurisdictions.

Next, Darshak Dholakia, a partner at Dechert LLP, will present on the new Biden Executive Order on investments in Chinese Military-Industrial Complex Companies and its impact on global asset managers. We will conclude the meeting by updating on APAC policy developments and leaving some time for open member discussion.

If you are interested in attending, please register for the meeting through this Cvent link - https://cvent.me/vwYbeo. You will be provided meeting login details upon registration. Registering through Cvent allows us to better track member participation and ensure the security of the meeting link. Please reach out to me if you have any issues with the registration.
