Next committee meeting announced – 10 February, 16:00 GMT/17:00 CET  

We will hold our next committee meeting on 10 February, at 16:00 GMT/17:00 CET.  A calendar invite was sent to committee members, and an agenda is to follow closer to the meeting. 

In addition to regular discussion about engagement on specific EU files, we also will discuss our ideas for broader outreach for the spring time frame, including a possible event with the European Parliament/ECON, engagement with the Slovenian Presidency ahead of the term start, and we are also thinking through our thought leadership engagement with academic institutions in Europe.  Your thoughts and input are very much welcome.

Invitation to the meeting of the Global Regulated Funds Committee – 3 February 2021, 15:00–17:30 GMT/ 10:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. US Eastern. 

The upcoming meeting for this committee has a very interesting agenda (attached), with great speakers lined up. 

  • Vanessa Casano, Head of the Asset Management Regulatory Policy Division, Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) and Chair of IOSCO Committee 5, will present on the upcoming work of IOSCO Committee 5.  She will also discuss the AMF’s views on the review of the AIFMD and its potential impact on UCITS. 
  • The second guest speaker is James O’Sullivan, Funds Policy Manager, from the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), who will discuss what we can expect from the CBI with respect to funds in 2021.
