TO: EU ESG Disclosure Regulation Working Group RE: SFDR Workshop #2 Scheduled for 10 November; SFDR FAQs Suggestion for NCAs

SFDR Workshop #2:  It will take place 10 November at 16:00 GMT/11:00 am EST

(call information was sent by a calendar invite to the group participants)

Based on your feedback, we have scheduled another SFDR workshop for 10 November to continue to discuss implementation issues.  It will be a 1-hour workshop, and we attach a list of questions we used for the prior workshop, noting in yellow the questions we discussed last time.  During the next workshop, we can review and revisit the previously-discussed items, discuss remaining items and we of course welcome any additional comments and questions from you for this discussion list.

Idea re FAQS with Answers for Members – to be discussed at the workshop

We heard from some of you that it may be helpful to have some of the implementation discussion points memorialised.  Given how fast the processes are going and evolving, we’d like to discuss at the workshop how we may create some reference materials that may be useful to you.

FAQs for NCAs – let us know by email if you support/object to this idea

Based on our interactions with the NCAs and your comments, we are thinking that it may be helpful to share some of our compliance questions, derived from our workshops, with the NCAs that are most engaged on the SFDR and that are most important for your businesses (BaFin, AMF, CBI, CSSF and also possibly the Danish FSA, Dutch AFM, Belgian FSMA and Swedish FSA).  We also can consider sharing the same questions with ESMA at the same time.

Process wise, we are thinking that we can submit the questions to the NCAs via several rounds/batches starting with questions regarding Articles 3 and 6, then Articles 8/9, and then Articles 4/7 .  We will prepare the first round of questions and share them with you for your feedback before we submit them (aiming for mid-November for the submission).

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any comments/questions.
