The Internal Revenue Service has created a new advisory
committee -- the Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee
-- to provide a forum for discussing information reporting issues
with the payor community. Keith Lawson, the Institute's
Associate Counsel - Tax, is among the sixteen persons selected to
serve on this committee. Attached is the IRS News Release which
announces the new advisory committee and lists its members.
The first meeting of the Information Reporting Program
Advisory Committee will take place on December 4 and 5, 1991.
Please keep Keith advised of information reporting issues
affecting our industry.
