March 12, 2020 TO: ICI Members
The ICI wants to remind members of the BCP Resource Center that is available to them on ICI’s website. While much of this information relates to pricing, valuation, and unexpected market close issues, you can also find meaningful information, including a “comprehensive check list for pandemic planning,” on the site.[1] The BCP Resource Center is available at: https://www.ici.org/continuity.
In addition, since 9/11, ICI’s Technology Committee has had a BCP Subcommittee that, over the years has dealt with a variety of issues triggering our members’ BCP plans.[2] For over a month now, this Subcommittee has been holding weekly calls to discuss members’ responses to the Coronavirus and challenges they are encountering (e.g., in deploying work-from-home strategies). If you currently do not have representation on this Subcommittee and are interested in participating in the weekly calls and other information shared with the Subcommittee, please email Peter Salmon of ICI Operation’s Department who coordinates this Subcommittee and its calls. His email address is salmon@ici.org.
Finally, the Institute continues to hold regularly-scheduled calls with a variety of our Committees to stay apprised of issues our members are encountering in responding to the pandemic. We also are holding weekly calls with the SEC staff to keep them apprised of such issues.
Tamara K. Salmon
Associate General Counsel
