February 7, 2020 TO: Chief Compliance Officer Committee
The next in-person meeting of ICI’s Chief Compliance Officer and Compliance Advisory Committees will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, DC on Wednesday, May 6, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The meeting will be held immediately prior to the start of the ICI’s General Membership Meeting/Compliance Programs Conference on May 6. Registration details for both the meeting and the conference are below.
While there is no charge to attend the CCO Committee meeting, we ask members to register no later than Friday, April 24 so we know how many attendees to expect. To register, please use this link: www.ici.org/reg/cco. When registering, please submit any issues/topics you’d like to have discussed at the meeting, as those issues will be the focus of the meeting’s agenda. Meeting details and the meeting agenda will be provided in early May to those members who register for the meeting.
As is the tradition with our May meeting, the last hour of the meeting will consist of an informal dialogue with the staff of the SEC. I have already extended invitations to the staff of OCIE, the Division of Investment Management, and Enforcement to join us for this portion of the meeting.
The Compliance Programs Conference will follow the Committee meeting on May 7-8. At this year’s Compliance Conference, we’ll have a Regulatory Update panel as well as panels on CCO Hot Topics, Conflicts of Interest, Vendor Oversight, and the Lightning Round. The full program is available here: https://gmm.ici.org/compliance/20_program_comp. There is a charge of $1700 for the Conference but if you register by February 21, there is a $100 discount on this fee. You can register and book your hotel room through this link: http://www.cvent.com/events/2020-general-membership-meeting/event-summary-a8bcc707745c4317bb0affb3792d59ed.aspx?RefID=iciweb. The room rate at the Conference hotel is $339 (plus taxes) per night.
I hope to see you in May! In the meantime, if you have any questions about the meeting or conference or I can be of any assistance to you, please let me know. You can reach me by email (tamara@ici.org) or phone (202-326-5825).
