TO: Chief Risk Officer Committee RE: Registration Open for Nov. 21 CRO Committee Meeting, Joint CRO and Internal Audit Meeting, and Joint Dinner in Washington, DC

 

The fall meeting of ICI’s Chief Risk Officer Committee will be held on Thursday, November 21 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. [Eastern] in Washington, DC. The meeting will be immediately followed by the joint meeting of the CRO Committee and ICI’s Internal Audit Committee, which will take place from 2:45 – 5:00 p.m. The joint meeting will be followed by a joint dinner of the two committees. More information about the speakers we are expecting for these meetings is below. 

Registration Required by NOVEMBER 14

Members planning to attend one or both meetings or the Committee dinner must register for them using this link: www.ici.org/reg/cro. While the meetings are free, there is a charge of $115 for the committee dinner, which must be paid at the time of registration. Also, at the time of registration, please indicate any items you would like added for discussion at the meetings.

Guest Speakers

I am pleased to let you know that we have lined up guest speakers for both the CRO meeting and the joint meeting. For the CRO meeting, we have lined up James Lam, the “godfather” of CROs in our industry as well as Stephen Ledbetter, the Director of Policy for the FSOC within the US Department of Treasury. For the joint meeting, we have lined up Adam Schneider of Oliver Wyman, who will discuss what the transition away from LIBOR means for our industry and what we should be thinking about and focusing on in anticipation.
