I am pleased to invite members of ICI’s newly created International Compliance Advisory Committee to the inaugural meeting of the Committee! The meeting will be held in London on Tuesday, 29 October from 15:00-18:00, and will be immediately followed by a reception to provide members the opportunity to interact informally. Schroders has graciously agreed to host this first meeting. Please note that Peter Ewing, a Technical Specialist of the FCA, has agreed to present to the Committee during the meeting. His presentation will focus on the results of the supervisory work the FCA recently published on the banking sector’s compliance with the SMCR, as that work may provide some helpful pointers for asset managers.

There is no charge for attending the meeting but we would like members planning to attend to register so we have an accurate head count for meeting materials and the reception. If there are any compliance-related issues you would like to raise for discussion during the meeting, please include them on your registration form. You may register through this link: www.ici.org/reg/icac. Please register no later than Friday, 27 September. Meeting details will only be provided to those members who register to attend the meeting.

I hope you will be able join us for the meeting. If not, please remember that we are planning to meet twice each year so our next meeting should take place in spring 2020. Once we set the date for that meeting, we will let you know so you can save it on your diary.
