We will hold a joint meeting of the ICI Global Regulated Funds Committee and the ICI Global Retirement Savings Committee on Thursday, September 26, 2019, at ICI’s offices in Washington, DC and at the offices of Aberdeen Standard Investments, Inc. in London (addresses below).
The meeting will begin promptly at 10 a.m. (US Eastern time)/3 p.m. (London time) and will end by 1 p.m./6 p.m. A continental breakfast and lunch will be available in Washington, DC and light snacks will be served in London.
We are pleased to announce that we have confirmed as a guest speaker Sandra Hack from the European Insurance Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA). She will discuss EIOPA’s work on drafting technical standards for the Pan-European Personal Pensions Product regulation. In addition, Sarah Holden, ICI Senior Director of Retirement and Investor Research, and James Duvall, ICI Associate Economist, will present on recent trends in US mutual funds and fund distribution and fees in Europe.
The meeting will also include discussions on what we can expect for our industry under the new European Commission and Parliament and ESG developments (confirming guest speakers for both). As usual, we will update on select regulatory developments and provide an opportunity for members to discuss items of interest.
