February 5, 2019 TO: Derivatives Markets Advisory Committee
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has extended the comment deadline for two of its recent releases: its proposal to amend the rules regarding swap execution facilities (SEFs) and the trade execution requirement, and its request for comment regarding the practice of “post-trade name give-up” on SEFs. Pursuant to the extensions, comments on both releases now are due on March 15, 2019.[1]
As you know, ICI recently filed a letter on the request for comment on post-trade name give-up.[2] We also recently circulated to members a draft letter on the SEF proposal, attached for your convenience. We will hold a member call on Tuesday, February 19th at 12 pm ET (as part of our regularly-scheduled call of the Derivatives Markets Advisory Committee) to discuss member comments on our draft letter.[3] If you would like to participate in the call, the dial-in information is:
