Tax Committee SUBJECTS: Tax RE: Section 199A: Tax Committee Call (1/30/2019)
As previously reported and discussed on the last tax committee call, proposed regulations titled “Guidance under § 199A (RIC – REIT) [TCJA]” were received on December 13, 2018, by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) from the Treasury Department.[1] OMB’s 45-day review period ends January 27 (barring any extensions) and the DC Bar Conference is scheduled to take place on January 29.
A Tax Committee call will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at 10:30 am (Eastern Time Zone) to discuss the status of Section 199A. We will schedule a call for an earlier date if guidance is released prior to the end of the 45-day period.
