ICI’s Equity Markets Advisory Committee will hold a call at 1:00 p.m. (Eastern) on Monday, October 22, 2018 to discuss the Institute’s equity market structure priorities. Please contact Monique Curtis at monique.curtis@ici.org to receive dial-in information for the call.
The call will include a discussion of the attached market structure recommendations (the “Markets Improvement Drive” or “MID”) developed by Nat Evarts (State Street) and Mike Masone (Citi). Nat gave a brief overview of the MID during our committee meeting last week. Many of the MID recommendations focus on the structure and governance of self-regulatory organizations (SROs), a topic that the Committee has discussed from time to time. Commissioner Jackson also raised the topic of SRO regulation in a recent speech.
